what could I possibly do that would make a difference today?

What if...I did what I could?  What if I quit focusing on what I don't have and considered instead what I do have? What if I let go of the pressure to do everything I could and instead did the one thing I could do now? What if I started right now, in this moment, in this season of life, to do what I could?

Too many times, we as women put too much pressure on ourselves to do everything. We volunteer for this, help out for that, and give give give of ourselves that it leaves us feeling empty inside.

Last year, I read a book called She Did What She Could by Elisa Morgan.  It really put things into perspective for me.  I use to feel like I had to help out with everything I was asked to do.  I would help out, but would be so overwhelmed with each thing that I sometimes did things halfway or just didn't do them at all.

While I was reading that book it dawned on me , I don't have to say yes to everything.  I don't have to babysit the kids of my sick friend each day she is down and do her laundry and make sure her house stays in order while she is in the bed.  But...I can prepare a simple meal for her!

That's just it.  Don't feel as though you have to do it all especially during this season.  We have a lot on our plate already. Pick one thing that you can do and do it!!

Be blessed-Melissa
