bless your man

When you have children, sometimes it is hard to get out for a date with your man.  With that being said, here's an idea I am planning to do sometime soon for my husband. Before I attempt this, I will make sure I am not gone from the house all day so I can have a clean house, food and dessert cooked, and everything under control to make for a relaxing night.  I'm going to let him know ahead of time so he knows I am planning something a little special for him.    

         OUR DATE NIGHT AT HOME

I am going to prepare something yummy and feed ONLY the kids first. Hubby can go chill out and watch sportscenter or check facebook while I tend to the kids.  After I put them to bed(school night bedtime will be around 7:30), the tv will be turned off and I'll have my hubby go sit in the living room to relax while I bring in our plates of food and dessert.  Now this might sound a little boring, so I have added some conversation starters to make things a little more fun.  And the great thing is-these talking points aren't even about the kids! Take turns answering and enjoy!

~On a scale of one to ten, how cool are you?

~If you could try out any occupation for a year, what would it be?

~If you could rewind to any point in your past, what would you want to relive?

~How would you spend a perfect day alone?

~What would you want us to do together for the next ten years if you knew they were your last?

~Name one thing you miss about our dating days.

~Last one...make it good... What's something positive about me that you don't say often enough?

Hopefully your man will feel blessed you took the time to plan and execute something that focuses on the two of you.  Who knows..he might even plan something in return!!
