quality time together

QUALITY TIME TOGETHER....

James and I started something with our kids to ensure we spent some more quality time with them. We went shopping and each kid selected new coloring books and some cool new crayons. We told them that they can ONLY color in these coloring books ON ONE CONDITION... IF mom and dad color with them.

This has really been something the kids look forward to.

My boys usually don't just pick up a coloring book, but when they saw me sitting down coloring with their sister then they decided to join in on the fun too. We can sometimes sit there for an hour together. There's always lots of discussion going on about what colors we need to use or what is happening on the pages. The only fussing I hear is when they are all asking me to color on their page at the same time.

See how quiet and engaged they are! Love it!!

Go out and buy some new coloring books this week or just find something around the house that makes you sit down and spend some quality time with your kids. It's memories in the making!!
