everyday I've been making a point to stop what i'm doing and be more intentional with my kids. intentional to let them know I love them. intentional to let God know i'm grateful to hold my position as their momma...
the heartbeat of our home.
here are some ideas i'm trying with my littles if you'd like to try them too...
~ lay your head on their chest and listen to their heartbeat...just listen
~let them listen to yours
~kiss the bridge of their nose (i tell mine, "i love your bridge!")
~get down on your knees, hold tight to their hands, and look them in the eye when they talk to you
~ put a quick little letter in their lunch box
~ set up their favorite toys doing something funny, cool, or heroic and then write on a note that you could have chosen anything else to do, but you chose them

~smile at them (how often do we not do this, yikes)
~hold their face and look them in the eyes and say, "of all the kids in the world, i'm so glad God gave me...you!"
~put your hand on their back when you're in the middle of a conversation with them.
~when you have them in your lap or sitting beside you spontaneously begin to thank God aloud for specific things you see in your child. ..thank you, God, that he.....
~ i almost always tell my kids when to remember to show JKL today- Jesus, Kindness, Love.
our kids need our time, our touch, our smiles, and us.
i'm grateful to be their mom!
what other ideas do you have?
i'd love to try them.
