across the pond

today's the day!
it's wednesday and
we've already left 
to cross over the pond to Wales.

what a crazy adventure it's already been!

we've had so many people share their hearts with us over the past few weeks. 
thank you so very much for all the sweet words, friends. 
they mean more to us than you could ever imagine.
we'll hold your words close by. 

now, let me share what's on my heart for a bit.

goodbyes are oh so sad!
i would love it if wales and tennessee were really just across a pond. 
just down the road.

but they aren't....
so that's why we say we're going across the pond.
it makes it a little easier.


to my heart:
 i'm not driven by my emotions on this bittersweet day. 
i am driven by what God has called us to do 
and His purpose for our life. 
don't ever forget that.

to friends and family in america:

thanks for loving us enough to let us go where God has called us.
although we'll be thousands of miles apart, 
you'll never be very far in our hearts and minds.
we'll be praying for you every time we think of you.
 we love all of you so very much!

don't ever forget that.

to all the people in wales:
please accept us as we are...one big, crazy, messed up family
who just wants to serve and honor God with our whole life.
we've prayed for you, dreamed up some big dreams, and have been 
preparing for such a long time.
it's an honor to serve you
we won't ever forget that.

so get ready, everyone!

strap on your lap belts 
cause we're bringing all of you
on this adventure with us, 
just across the pond...
