thankful thursday...a little early

welcome back! thursday is almost here and that means it's time to reflect back on all the moments and time given to us this past week and thank God for it all!
i missed posting last week. i haven't skipped a post on thursday in quite a while.
i have to admit, last thursday i wasn't feeling very thankful. actually, i was ungrateful the whole week. an elaborate thankful thursday blog post, complete with beautiful pictures, was written though and more time and effort was spent on that post alone than on any of the others i've posted over the years.
clicking the publish button was so hard that day so i just never hit it. i couldn't quite get my heart right that day. i had a tough week spiritually and just didn't feel all that thankful.
we all have days (and even weeks) where we just aren't thankful or even in a good place spiritually. i spent lots of time praying and listening to worship throughout that day just to try to help me get out of the funk i was in. that was the hardest part....to persevere...to read His word...to pray even though i didn't really feel like it.
my friends, it was so worth it. it took a bit of time, but it brought me right out of the mess i was in! it always helps. so this week you'll see lots of pictures because i'm thankful, once again. let's get started!
i'm thankful for...

264. books I'm currently reading

265. learning and creating together

266. some alone time spent with this little one, late one night, as the others were fast asleep.

267. the most authentic santa i've ever seen. the girls and i spent a few hours one friday night at a market in tonna with friends and all our girls enjoyed seeing santa.

268. and the sweetest little handmade acorn ornament from that market.

269. sweet time spent addressing and sending christmas cards to family from afar.

270. discovering just how creative and unique each of my children are as they draw in their art journals.

271. seeing this pretty rainbow on my drive home.

272. the two times today that my five year old quietly brought my phone into the room and set it down beside me...she had the most peaceful worship music playing for me.

273. a sweet gift given to me by a few of the waitresses in my favourite coffee shop. they said they wanted to bless me back because one day a few weeks ago i left chocolates and notes for them.

how sweet is that...the people you try to bless turn around and bless you right back. God is so good!! there are many more moments i could give thanks for. what is on your list this week, friends?
