if you're looking for a few new titles for yourself or your children, then you've come to the right spot. here are some of the books my kids and i will be reading and studying through for the month of april.
this list is used in addition to our normal, everyday curriculum.
please remember, i am a home educator and reading is the bulk of what we do each and every day. use this list for inspiration only. never allow it to become a comparison guide for your family. i've done that so many times myself. love ya, sweet readers!!
our april stack of reads:
*farm anatomy and nature anatomy are two old favorites. i pulled them back out so i'll be teaching through these books a lot this month. i'm planning for the kids to use them for art and study topics as well.
*animalium and a stick is a wonderful thing are two new titles i knew i wanted to have in our library. they have beautiful illustrations we can use for drawing and watercolour activites throughout the month as well as some suggested activities for fun.
*beaky will be a quick, wholesome read aloud for us one morning.
*small adventures journal- i have five of this book...one for each of the four oldest children and one for me. these will be tucked inside the nature backpack each child will receive for easter. i wanted to do something nontraditional and somewhat educational instead of a normal easter basket filled with candy this year.
*the life giving home set is what i will use to study through and devour during my quiet time. (tossing around this title for my online book club read as well)
*make and share random acts of kindness- i'm hoping for fresh, fun ideas our whole family can use to encourage a spirit of giving.
that's our april stack, friends! if i add more, i'll be sure to post an update on my instagram feed as well. as always, check out the titles and their full descriptions online. i use amazon.com or amazon.co.uk.
please tell me what you'll be devouring this month. i can't wait to hear...
